Once you have passed “Kobus se Gat” from Oudtshoorn’s side or Prince Albert if coming from there, there are no more stops for food or drink on route.
The 55km from the turn-off on the Swartberg Pass to us, may take you two to three hours.
This exceptionally beautiful isolated valley is not only your destination. Your total experience starts with the road trip and adventures journey through breathtaking mountain passes, after enjoying breakfast in Prince Albert, Oudtshoorn, De Rust, Calitzdorp or “Kobus se gat” at the bottom of the Swartberg Pass, depending from where you approach the Swartberg Pass.
Most of our guests combine their visit to us with a trip through the Baviaanskloof or some of the other attractions that the Klein Karoo offers.
Be advised that although you may travel relative short distances per day on your journey, you must take note that you will be driving slow and stop regularly to enjoy the scenery.
The 55km from the turn-off to on the Swartberg Pass to us may take you two to three hours. So, start your journey early in the morning to ensure for your best interest that you arrive before sunset.
